UMF Seattle | Jamshop Programming
(Fridays, Saturdays; times/dates vary) 647 NW 45th Street, Seattle 98107 (Bird's Nest Rehearsal Studio)
Our Jamshop Program is geared toward a range of recreational musicians (late-beginner to advanced level) including but in no way limited to drummers, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, horn players and on a limited basis vocalists. Some sessions offer players with little or even no collective playing experience hands-on playing guidance and demonstrations while other sessions are for more advanced players who want to explore and experiment with improvisation and arrangement. Regardless of the session you choose to participate in you'll have the chance to apply and further expand your existing playing skills in a dynamic group setting with other like-minded musicians.

Deep-Dive Jams ($40)
These sessions offer the recreational musician opportunities to explore and experiment with other players in a "collaborative" jam format. These sessions are also facilitated but rather than guiding players on the "how to" aspects of jamming these sessions provide the group with more autonomy to collectively explore their skills and interests and further emphasize improvisation as a means to experiment. Bring your musical ideas to share with the group and free form it up!
